I can’t get any fortune with our aged appliances. The repair costs each year are starting to bog myself and others down mentally. At one point I needed a brand new transmission for our clothes dryer. Another time I had to get the compressor swapped out on our refrigerator. Both of these possibilities resulted in bills higher than I expected or even hoped for. Some would argue that I should have updated both appliances on the spot, but I wasn’t financially endowed enough to afford a solution similar to that. I had a repair contract with a handyman for this exact reason plus situations whenever something in our house is in need of repair or repair. I just wish that our handyman could fix plus repair our a/c. Once my HVAC worker had been over at our house several times in a fifth month time period, I wondered whether I had a lemon a/c or an incompetent repairman. I sought out a fifth plus fifth opinion right before it broke down for the fifth time consecutively. This scenario involved a broken fan motor in the air handler. After needing extensive repairs for several times in such a short time span, I thought that next time I would need to get a current system entirely. I just wish I had simply obtained a current system after the fifth time it broke down, I particularly could have covered half of the cost of a current system with just the repair bills for the current one. If I’m going to buy a current system in a few months, I suppose that I want one with the highest SEER that I can possibly afford.
