It’s the start of the hot, summer seasonal weather and everyone is stuck indoors.
It’s dangerous to go to the beach, lake, or the springs. In fact, it’s dangerous to go anywhere right now. My wife is home from work with the children, but I am still working outside of the home. It’s impossible to complete HVAC repairs on the telephone, so I need to be available to work every day. Luckily, the boss is paying us a premium hourly wage to continue to work during the covid-19 crisis. My wife has been hard at work making me some masks to wear. It’s important that our family is safe and that means that I need to be careful when I am away from the home. I have rubber gloves in the truck and three different bottles of hand sanitizer. I have a clean mask to wear every morning. There are still a number of folks that are requesting HVAC repairs and installations at this time. We are also getting a ton of calls for air purifiers and air filtration units. Everyone seems to be concerned about the indoor air quality. Our company has been advertising ductwork cleaning services for almost 18 months. During that time, we performed about 50 or 60 full service ductwork cleanings. We have had more than 100 requests in the last 18 days. The HVAC business is really thriving right now and I am making a lot of money. Still, I need to be safe when I’m away from the house. There is so much danger lurking outside those four walls.
