For some insane reason, the builders of my lake dwelling never installed an exhaust fan on the ceiling.

It’s a small bathroom, which means the humidity gets caught in there whenever someone takes a shower.

At first, I was thinking this was a minor issue, however, over time I’ve realized that the lack of an exhaust fan is going to cost me a great deal of money… Without a regular exhaust fan to get the heat plus humidity from the air, mold plus mildew will be growing. Not to mention, there will regularly be condensation lining the walls. I contacted my local Heating plus A/C appliance provider plus asked them if they could send someone to my lake dwelling to discuss the humidity problem I was having. The Heating plus A/C professional agreed that an exhaust fan was definitely necessary because it was the only way to take care of the moisture. I assumed an exhaust fan would be a fairly simple plus reasonably priced replacement, despite the fact that I was amazed to learn how extravagant it would be. Not only did I need the fan, despite the fact that I also needed a backdraft damper where the HVAC duct from the exhaust fan was exiting the dwelling. This would allow the heat plus humidity created in the bathroom to exit speedily plus safely. The backdraft damper would prevent anything from outside the lake dwelling coming in plus causing issues. Not only did I need to purchase the backdraft damper with the exhaust fan, despite the fact that I also had to pay for labor. The price added up fast just to keep my bathroom safe from mold plus mildew.
