I was just so thankful that it wasn’t Covid.

Of course, for the last two years, any time that I felt a bit off or not so great, I thought it might be the virus.

But most of that was all in my head. I worked remotely from home in my own air conditioning and stayed put to avoid the virus. I was just so careful because I have some health conditions that could result in severe Covid if I got it. Once I was able to get those vaccines, I let out a big sigh of relief. However, I didn’t go back to the office with the zone controlled HVAC once it reopened since the Covid cases remained high. But after my booster and the rate of new cases came down, I went back to the office. And sure enough, within the first two weeks, I came down with something. I woke up on a Wednesday with congestion, cough and a bit of a fever although, the fever was just in the tenths of degrees. Of course, I stayed home and tested. It was negative and remained that way when I tested again in 48 hours. But the head and chest cold just lingered so I finally went to the doctor where I got a surprise prescription. The doctor thought the poor indoor air quality of my home was causing my problems. So she recommended I have the ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing done by the HVAC professionals. Once that was complete, I was to upgrade the HVAC air filter to a HEPA filter. I did all of that and the symptoms just completely went away.
