Not only is that less hassle but mold growth mitigation is just so important to our respiratory health as well

It’s July again. And that means we are nearing the halfway point of summer or heat season as I like to call it. Where I live, the summer is by far the toughest test when it comes to climate. In fact, the other 8 months of the year are close to perfection. I’m lucky to have called this place home for my entire life. But the summers are challenging nonetheless. Of course, we are all so lucky to be living in an era where we have access to HVAC cooling. While I’m a native of the area and know a bit about navigating the heat and humidity, I still don’t think I could manage without the heat pump. The HVAC technology of the heat pump has been around for more than a hundred years. Moving heat energy from one place to another revolutionized the economy and the way we did business. Then, in the 1950’s, the same HVAC technology was introduced as residential HVAC and the rest is history. The move to residential HVAC had an enormous impact on population centers and our very way of life. But one thing that gets sort of lost in the HVAC cooling conversation is just so vitally important. The HVAC cooling process is also balancing the humidity levels inside the house as well. That means we don’t have to clean up a bunch of mold & mildew all the time. Not only is that less hassle but mold growth mitigation is just so important to our respiratory health as well. I like to remember that fact each time I walk out the front door and am hit like a hammer with the high humidity of our summer.
