There are a host of reasons why I would really prefer to stay in bed on a winter morning when I know I have to go to work.
Never mind that my bed feels so warm and toasty compared to the cold air in my room.
Never mind that my job is long and tedious and I’d much prefer to hang out at home and take a break for once. That’s all true, but my morning routine during the winter has all sorts of other annoyances. For one thing, when I go to my bathroom shower, I need a space heater in the bathroom with me to keep it warm. For whatever reason, my heating system just doesn’t seem to work all that effectively in my bathroom, so if I don’t have that space heater, I end up feeling ice cold when I step out of the shower. Then there’s the whole process with getting the vehicle ready for work. You actually need to start the car and let it run for like twenty minutes or more in the morning before you actually leave, because you’re basically thawing it out and blasting the heater until it actually works. For those who live in warmer climates, you may not know this, but the heating system takes quite some time before it actually starts blowing hot air when it’s super cold outside! For all these reasons and more, I really wish I just simply lived in a warmer climate. All of the potential issues that I would have with the heat could simply be solved by turning up the air conditioner, whether I’m in my home or in my car.
