Waking up and getting ready for the day in the winter time is quite a process, you could say.
Besides needing to lug the portable space heater into the bathroom to be able to take a shower without freezing my tail off, I also have to go outside at one point before I’m even ready to go and get my car going so that it’s warm by the time I leave. This is because my car is practically frozen by the time I wake up. I’ve got to get it started so that it will thaw out and the engine will be warm enough when it’s finally time to leave for my commute everyday. The heater is honestly the most important aspect of my commute, because I would be absolutely frozen on the way to work without it! Everything that makes getting up in the morning to go to work in the winter difficult centers around beating the cold. Needless to say, the summer time is a lot easier on my morning routine. I don’t need the space heater in the bathroom because the air conditioner works perfectly fine. Similarly, it does not take nearly as long for the air conditioner to start working in my car whenever I crank it up in the morning, so I can simply get in my car and leave immediately. So when I think about it, I would much rather deal with hot weather on my mornings than I would deal with cold weather. I mean I don’t like to sweat, but dealing with harshly cold temperatures is just so much more stressful and tedious.
