If you don’t, then you’re probably going to be out of luck this holiday season when you really want to sit by the fireplace and hang your stockings! This seems to be a trend in the business where I work, which is a heating and cooling company. I work as a fireplace specialist, and one thing that I have noticed over the past several years is the fact that people just tend to procrastinate when it comes to getting their fireplace projects done. Everyone wants to have a fireplace during the holidays, that’s for sure. However, no one wants to come in and place their orders earlier in the year. I don’t know why that is, but it’s something that tends to happen around here over and over. I have solved way more gas fireplaces than I ever have before. I don’t know why gas fireplaces are on the rise instead of wood burning fireplaces, but maybe people just don’t want to have to chop wood during the winter period. Whatever the reason is, I wish that people would get their acts together and get their orders placed sooner rather than later. It would really make my life a whole lot easier, that’s for sure. Trying to get all of these fireplace projects done at the last minute before Thanksgiving and Christmas is something that I do not enjoy doing. I think that people should really just plan in advance whenever they want to do something like this.
