We are maybe a month from Summer weather.
Soon the dome of high temperatures and high humidity will be placed over us for something like 4 months.
But man, it’s worth it for the rest of the year. That’s why I’m soaking up every opportunity to get out of the zone controlled HVAC at work during lunch. It’s still so nice and warm outside in the sunshine. It’s almost hot. Like, it feels good to walk back inside that commercial HVAC after lunch in the park or the courtyard adjacent to the building. Yet, it’s not too hot yet to enjoy lunch on a bench under a tree with the sunlight dappling through the leaves. It’s still heaven. But soon, I’ll be taking my lunch wherever there is some cooling comfort from the air conditioning. That also means that the heat pump at home will be staying on pretty much night and day. I do my best to rein in the amount of air conditioning that is happening in my house. Thanks to a smart thermostat, I don’t have to worry too much because it does a great job of adjusting the air conditioning. Throughout the day, the smart thermostat does it’s thing to keep us cool but on a budget. For sure, this is not the time that you want to hope that the air conditioning is fine. If it hasn’t been done already, now is the time to have the air conditioning tune up from the HVAC company. I would hate to seal up my house and flip the thermostat over to cooling to stay only to have the heat pump fail. HVAC maintenance is a must and it’s getting to the now or never point as Summer looms.
