The house that I live in is about sixty years old.
I inherited it from my grandparents since I was the only grandchild.
It’s a very nice house but it is small. When I first inherited it there was some renovations that really needed to be done. The wallpaper is extremely outdated and I am not a fan of flower wallpaper. The first thing that I did was remove it and repaint it with colors that I like. I also felt that it was necessary to rip up the carpets as they are sixty years too. The color of the carpets didn’t go with the colors of the walls that I was painting as well. Replacing all of the carpets took about a week to do. I also had to replace most of the appliances in the house. I ended up replacing the fridge, microwave and oven. I even did some renovation to the three bathrooms as well. I replaced the toilets and sinks to more modern ones. When I was replacing my toilets I have to unhook the water line and pull the toilet up. Once I brought the toilet up there was a toilet drain seal. The toilet drain seal is what seals the drain from the toilet. When I was replacing the sink you have to turn the water line off, and then disconnect the hot and cold water lines that go to the sink. Then I have to disconnect the drain pipe from the sink. It seems like a simple task but I had my brother who’s a plumber to help me.
