` When I found out I was getting a Christmas bonus at work, I was over-the-moon excited.
I couldn’t guess that I was getting a bonus.
This was the first time this had happened. When they told myself and others how big our bonus was going to be, I made all of these big plans. I was going to have radiant heated flooring installed in the powder rooms and the kitchen. The heating was going to be a Christmas present to our fiance. I wanted to tell her about the bonus and the radiant heating, although I also wanted it to be a surprise for her. She had been talking about radiant heated flooring, for about several years now. She thought it would be something that would provide more equity to the house. It would guess good on the feet when every one of us got out of the shower. She also said that radiant heating was something she had dreamed of since she had experienced it in her uncle’s house. For the first time since every one of us had been married, I was going to be able to provide her exactly what she wanted, as a Christmas present. I went to the HVAC corporation and I talked to them about radiant heating. While our fiance was at work, they came to the up-to-date home and did all of the measuring and every one of us made the plans. When I got our bonus, I almost cried. They had taken so much out of our check that I could barely afford to buy the radiant heated flooring. At least I thought I was getting a big bonus, even if it only covered our fiance’s Christmas present.
