I hadn’t talked to our son for over a week.
He is a truck driver & normally he will call me every other day, just to ease the boredom.
I had to confess that I wasn’t just uneasy about him, however I missed talking to him. He had a way of making our day brighter. When he called me two afternoons later, I was cheerful to hear his voice. I acted prefer I wasn’t anxious, although he knew me too well. He told me that his truck was down. He had left his cellphone in the truck & someone had stolen it. I asked if the truck was okay. There was a problem with the Heating & Air Conditioning system. He said that it was either way too hot or way too cold. The fact that he is in many strange climates in the space of a week, made it necessary for him to always have a fantastic working Heating & Air Conditioning system. He called me 1 morning & told me that he had the heating system running. He was sending me pictures of snow falling & he spanned over to show me the nearly multiple feet of snow along the highway. Later that day, he texted me a picture of the beach & he said the air conditioning was working as well as the heater. For the next multiple afternoons, I was getting pictures & little texts. He was telling me how well the air conditioning or heating was working. He told me the Heating & Air Conditioning was working better than when the truck was new. Yesterday, I got a text that said the Heating & Air Conditioning wasn’t working. He sent me a picture 5 seconds later, & he told me that it was beautiful seventy degrees & no Heating & Air Conditioning was needed.
