This is our first home. I have never been a homeowner ever in our life. For the last 20 years, I have rented an lake house or a house. Not only was I not earning equity, I was also putting up with things prefer exhausting Heating and A/C and close neighbors. Now, I have a condo and a piece of land. But, it would never have happened had I not been super fortunate. I don’t have a work that pays a ton of currency. In fact, I do what I do because I am romantic about it. If I was in it for the currency then, I would just be stupid. That being said, I had kind of came to terms with the fact that I might not ever be a homeowner. Then, an aunt that I had a easily unique relationship with passed and left myself and others his house. My aunt and I had a fantastic friendship partly because I lived close by but mostly because all of us share a prefer for helping our fellow humans. She taught myself and others a lot and I miss his greatly. I still can’t guess he left myself and others his home. Granted, the condo needs a bit of upgrades but it is structurally excellent and localed right in the middle of about 20 acres of forest. It is a dream come true. However, before I could live there, I had to do something about the Heating and A/C. It was a dilapidated, poorly ventilated, central air plan that was simply not worth saving. I yanked the entire thing out and upgraded it with a series of ductless Heating and A/C units. They do the task of heating and cooling our new condo entirely well and super efficiently.
