I don’t like pollen irritations but, I can deal with them unlike people who have lifelong asthma. But, pollen irritations have been a constant nuisance for most of my life. My response has constantly been to treat the symptoms. It starts with the OTC possibilities but, some years I end up in the doctor’s office for prescription meds. This year, I took a bit of a uncommon approach. I decided that my respiratory health deserves more than simply throwing meds at it. I study that the EPA found that the average apartment had indoor air conditions that was 2 to 5 times worse than outside. The amount of allergens in the air inside my apartment are significant. So, I called the Heating and A/C professionals to have them come out and install a whole apartment air cleaner. It works by focusing high intensity ultraviolet light directly on the filtered air coming in through the return. The media air cleaner sits inside the air handler and kills all the contaminants in the air as it flows by. The results have been immediate and overwhelming. I am breathing far better than I can ever remember.
