Remodeling a condo can be quite the learning experience, and from what we have learned with ours my friend and I could have received a school degree, then my nice friend and I decided to take on several of the tasks ourselves and left only those more complicated to the professionals! One thing my friend and I particularly needed to hire out for was the installation of our new boiler system.
My hubby called around to various Heating and A/C companies to get estimates and even searched online for those who did jobs on the side or or a smaller corporation; After receiving various bids he chose one that was the lowest that my friend and I could find however still gave us with the component and installation that my friend and I wanted.
My nice friend and I know now that going with the lowest price isn’talways the best deal, however i remember questioning, during the installation, about the localement of the vent for the boiler because it was located near the foundation of the house. Most of that I had seen had either been located up higher or even on the roof. My hubby got angry and said that I wasn’t an Heating and A/C specialist so I did not know what I was talking about. winter season has arrived and the boiler works wonderful but, my friend and I need to always go out and shovel snow away from the vent! Ensuring that your event is free of any type of blockage such as snow or debris is crucial because carbon monoxide gas can build up in the system without it. I asked my hubby wants if he had even checked the online references for the man that he hired, he said he did not. Had my friend and I done so my friend and I particularly would have learned that although his prices were lower his workmanship was not up to standards. I will particularly go online and check the reviews before my friend and I hire anyone else to do any work around the house.
