Have you ever felt you were residing in the wrong time zone.
I do not mean Eastern or Central time zones, I mean the wrong era.
I feel like this all the time. Life is crazy these afternoons with everything being controlled by technology. I was at a family suppereon a while back and my brother in law was sitting there programing his cable shows from his iphone. He said he would not be home in time to watch them. What happened to the afternoons where you didn’t care what was on cable if you were sitting and enjoying the supplier of others. I long for the easyr afternoons most of the time. I still appreciate taking the time to cook a nice meal or spend Monday unbelievable and studying the paper instead of running errands and trying to figure out what comes next. This applies to most areas of my life with one exception. I do like the fact that technology has improved when it comes to heating and cooling our homes. Years ago we were stuck with much bigger units that were not as energy efficient. Today the choices seem endless with regards to features, size, and cost. My parents had to settle for the basic boiler and A/Cs that were available. With the addition of zone control and remote access things are much better now. So, I assume in some ways, I am blissful to be residing in the world of modern advances. I will just have to settle for little escapes on a Monday afternoon back to the afternoons of yesteryear.
