Everyone goes through phases in their lives when they need to pinch pennies. Right now my husband and I are going through this. It is hard because we want to spend money on a couple of home repairs, but it is the worst time I could imagine to spend money. Last week my husband was fired from his job because the company was relocating and he didn’t want to move with them. Because he lost his job so quickly we didn’t have any time to save up extra money. I am nervous that one of our home repairs is going to become urgent and we won’t have the money to fix anything. I am referring to our heating and cooling system. Lately we can’t figure out why the air conditioner isn’t coming out of the vents. I turned the thermostat down but I don’t feel any cold air blasting from the vents.I really hope that our heating and cooling system doesn’t need to be replaced, but we can’t even afford for a HVAC company to come out and inspect our heating and cooling equipment. I think I am going to have to pull money out of our savings account so that we can have the heating and cooling company come out and look at the HVAC unit. It is about to be the winter season and we can’t go without the heater in our home. We have two small children and we don’t want them to be cold because we can’t afford to have our heating and cooling system repaired.
