This year was the 10th anniversary of the date that my wifey and I were married, so we planned a trip to a tropical location to celebrate our nuptials! My wifey made most of the reservations, but she asked me to book the hotel since I always complain if my wifey spends too much on the hotel.

I am usually in charge of those details.

I started looking at all of the local hotels, Inns, and resorts! A lot of places were way too high-priced for our budget, although I found a nice resort on the island that had all of the amenities that my wifey and I desire. The place had an indoor and outdoor pool, fine dining, spa services, and a fitness center. The bedroom was a suite with a queen-size bed and direct access to the beach. However, I overlooked one key detail…I never bothered to check if the hotel had any air conditioning. As soon as my wifey and I arrived at our endpoint, both of us quickly realized the mistake. The lobby and the living room did not have any air conditioning, and our room was just as moderate and humid. I checked the site I booked on twice, and I could not find any mention of indoor air conditioning. In an attempt to cool down the room, I opened several windows and the french doors, but it was a lost cause. During the night, the temperatures were cooler. Most of our experience with the hotel could have been nicer, but the overall endpoint and wonderful trip was a superb way to spend our anniversary. If both of us ever return to that island, I will book a different hotel.
