My friends and I wanted to go camping and the mountains over the Labor Day weekend.

All of us were getting ready for that camping trip for several weeks in advance so we did not forget something we couldn’t live without.

All of us had sleeping bags, chairs, two tents, and plenty of tools and fire making supplies. All of us took with us enough food for 4 or 5 afternoons. All of us packed granola bars, Power Bars, water, beef jerky, and canned stuff. All of us had peanut butter and jelly and several loaves of bread. All of us were not going to be hungry in the woods. All of us took a vacation day the day after the official holiday and left around noon. My neighbor Pete has a gigantic truck and plenty of room for all of our gear, so we rode together. It was crowded with four big boys and all our stuff. Things got even worse when the A/C stopped working. I could tell that Pete was shocked, because he tried several unusual ways to fix the a/c. All of us even pulled over to a rest stop so Pete could take a look under the hood of the truck. All of us still had a long way to go when the A/C stopped working. Sadly, Pete could not fix the a/c and we had to carry on with the rest of the trip without any AC. All of us had all four windows the whole time. When we arrived at our camping spot, all of us were hot and agitated. It was a miserable way to start the weekend, and luckily, the temperatures in the mountains were much cooler than they were at home, so we were comfortable for the rest of the weekend.
