When our Grandpa died, my family received a house in the will.

The home was a few hours away from where we live, although I spent every weekend for 6 months working on the place.

I put in better windows and placed the modern carpet in all of the dining rooms. I replaced the plumbing fixtures and the master bathroom and even put in a different sink. I made a lot of upgrades because I wanted to rent the property. My wifey and I already had a place of our own and we did not want to live in the country. I did not want to sell the property either, so renting the place seemed like the way to go. After more than five months, I was ready to rent the house out. I found a young couple interested in raising a family and renting the place longer. They agreed to a two-year lease with the pick to renew every year at the same price for several additional years. I was convinced the young couple would work out well, however it’s been a single problem after another since they have been living there. Last year they complained about a mysterious stench emanating from the oven, but now they are complaining about the truck. The oil furnace was installed right before they moved in. I had a professional heating dealer install the oil furnace 2 months before they arrived. There is no way that the oil furnace would break down unless the renters were using the heat irresponsibly. It is a busy time for the Heating plus Air Conditioning dealer to inspect the oil furnace, although I suspect everything will be just like it is supposed to be. I truthfully suppose the renter is looking for a reason to break the lease.
