We all have bad days, and we just toss back a cold one and put it in the past.

Often, something good comes out of the bad, but it can also be the exact opposite.

I really thought that when the thunderstorm started, it would not be so bad. The thunder and lightning continued throughout the morning, and this was my wedding day. I tucked into my slicker and headed to the car, following my mom and my maid of honor. We had our dresses in plastic bags. We got to the church, to discover that the power had gone out because of the storm. Without power, we didn’t have any air conditioning. It was so hot and humid inside the building that I was sweating. I refused a lot of making, knowing how bad it looked when it ran. I was going to have my hair loose, but I had it pulled up into a bun. I wished the power would come on, but that wasn’t going to happen. We had the minister do the fastest ceremony you could imagine, and we were out of there in ten minutes. Without AC, it was unbearable. We were heading to the venue when I got a text that a tree limb had come down on the building and it couldn’t be used. I sent out a text to everyone telling them to come to our home. Dad told me he could get the generator running, so we had air conditioning, even if we didn’t have lights. I was so glad to see the rain stop and the sun come out, which just made it more humid, but we had AC.
