Every Saturday morning, our friends and I play golf at the local course.
The place has such a relaxed vibe and they do not have a casual dress code. My friends and I have a leisurely morning consisting of 18 holes of golf. Even when the forecast is rain, our friends and I usually make our way to the golf course. Even if we cannot play the course, we can usually hit a couple of buckets of balls on the driving range. SAturday morning, the weather was entirely cold and overcast and gray. When I woke up in the morning, I almost called our neighbor to cancel. I just went ahead and put on a windbreaker and a pair of waterproof shorts. I packed our clubs, balls, and tees into the truck and headed out to the course. My friends and I were on the 3rd hole when the lightning made its presence known. As soon as the first bolt came down, the course manager made his way out on the field. She told everyone that we had to come inside until the lightning packed it up and headed home. I hated to stop playing, although I was cheerful to rest inside the clubhome and enjoy some eggs. My friends and I had a delicious meal while we sat in the sizzling atmosphere. The clubhome has quite a few tall propane heating systems situated all over the patio. The heating systems were the reason we decided to rest outside and watch the lightning display. All of us still stayed warm because the propane heating systems worked like a charm. The club manager made us wait until the lightning and rain was a thing of the past, however our friends and I managed to finish the rest of the 18 holes.
