I have seen progress and achieved some of my health and fitness goals.

A couple of things that I have never felt all that comfortable with are now aspects I am embracing. This is due to the local fitness center. It was impossible to realize that something as straightforward as a gym membership could overcome lifelong challenges. It all began when my doctor recommended that I start taking my physical health and wellness far more seriously. I was in my early forties but feeling as though I was well into my sixties. This was worrisome for me and the doctor. After our conversation, she urged me to try a health and fitness center. She told me to start slow and ease into a workout program suited to my age and fitness level. She suggested I consult with certified fitness experts and work to find what type of physical program might interest me. This seemed like a great idea and that is what I did. To be honest, it was a bit intimidating to step inside the gym when I was in such poor physical condition. I was slightly embarrassed. Focused on getting healthier, I worked up the courage and I am so thankful that I did. The staff at the health and fitness center were ever so supportive and welcoming. They made me feel confident that I could make the necessary improvements and change my lifestyle for the better. I signed up for a beginner yoga class. Now, I am feeling better than I ever have. I have seen progress and achieved some of my health and fitness goals. One of the best parts has been getting over my social fears. The gym is now where I go to hang out with friends. We share the same interests and dedication to getting fit.
