The sub zero cold temperatures in the Winter time allow the plants to go dormant and sleep. The rainy Springtime season and warm and humid summers encourage quick growth and ripening. We farm approximately 200 hundred acres of grapes and sell them to make juice, jam and jelly. A few years back, my father and I decided to try wine-making. While the process is rather difficult, labor-intensive and time-consuming, the two of us easily prefer it. The people I was with and I managed to produce a very flavorful red wine. Although we started out making just a few dozen bottles, our enterprise has steadily increased. It led us to getting licensed to commercially sell wine, and we’ve built a winery to facilitate the idea. Aging the wine requires stable year round hot and cold temperatures. My father and I can’t allow the summertime heat or chilly winters to affect the indoor environment! Since this is a growing business with no guarantees of a profit, the two of us didn’t want to invest a ton of cash into a heating and cooling system. The people I was with and I looked for something cheap, compact yet powerful. After a whole lot of research, the two of us decided to install a ductless mini split system. This has proven to be perfect. There is an outdoor compressor that attaches to an indoor air handler by way of a conduit; For the installation plan, my father and I only needed a small hole in an exterior wall. The air handler is mounted up high and gives off both heating and cooling capacity. My father and I have it programmed to maintain the perfect temperature and it automatically switches between heating and cooling as needed.
