My parents rarely do things that make a lot of sense to me.
Particularly when it comes to embracing some current ideas.
They are great parents but, they tend to stick with what they know. I can see the discomfort in their face when I suggest something new. My siblings are a pain. They are younger than I am and simply complain all the time. A big complaint around our apartment has anxious settling on an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C thermostat setting. It goes round and round. I hate hearing it so I made and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C suggestion to my folks. One evening just before bed, I asked them for a moment and laid out my case for zone control Heating, Ventilation, and A/C in our home. I explained that there would not be any big replacement deal with this. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech would simply add on some dampers and electrical switches to our existing Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. However, the result would be some peace with all the fighting over the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C setting. The zone controlled situation would allow for 6 independently controlled zones. Each with its own thermostat. Now the girl could have what they need in their area of the house. And we could all get on with our lives. The look on my parent’s faces were a mixture of stunned and wow. I recognize they didn’t recognize I knew stuff. But, I do. My acquaintance just has her apartment changed to zone control. I’m thinking my parents were convinced because I see there is an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C appointment on the calendar.
