I bring along an empty water bottle and fill it up as soon as I pass through security

I really enjoy taking vacations to new places. I am always saving my money and planning another trip overseas. I like experiencing unusual cultures, trying different foods and seeing the unique landscapes. Because I often take advantage of excursions such as zip lining, mountain hikes, whitewater rafting and kayaking, I keep myself physically fit. I want to get the most out of each adventure. I also hope to remain strong and healthy for as long as possible. The only drawback of heading to faraway locations is the actual travel. I live an hour from the airport and need to arrive at the terminal an hour prior to boarding times. I then sit around in an uncomfortable chair, breathing very poor air quality. Between waiting at airports, sitting on airplanes and enduring horrible layovers, it’s easy to arrive at my destination feeling stiff, sore and dehydrated. Headaches are often a problem. I’ve figured out ways to make traveling a little less awful. On the day that I’m flying out, I make sure to get in a very strenuous workout. I often need to get up super early to accomplish this, but it’s worth it. Taking an hour to get my heart pumping and warm up my muscles ensures that I’m wide awake, energized and feeling my best. I focus especially on thoroughly stretching all my muscles and working my various joints. I then pack myself healthy snacks for the trip. I buy grapes and apples, cut cubes of cheese and pack raisins and nuts. I bring along an empty water bottle and fill it up as soon as I pass through security. One I arrive at the gate for my flight, I go through a series of light stretches. I get some odd looks, but I do some lunges and squats, work out my neck, touch my toes and circle my arms.
