We have to travel for our jobs during the week which makes it necessary to kennel our pets while my friend and I are away. This is normally not a problem because the people who own the kennels are good with the pets and even have a park type area for the pets to run. My nice friend and I started noticing that our one pet was more and more hesitant to get out of the car when my friend and I arrived. My nice friend and I question the owners to see if anything had changed or if perhaps a new pet was staying there that maybe ours did not care for… They said they had the same customers that they had for the last six months and they did not see anything going on between any of them that would be a concern. I did however notice, however now that the winter season had arrived the lobby was colder than I felt it should be. When I asked about their Heating and A/C system they said that they used portable heaters in most areas of the kennel and try to maintain and even temperature. I did not realize that perhaps our pet was feeling that it was too cold to spend afternoons on end on a concrete floor without having satisfactory heat. My nice friend and I were on our way out of neighborhood so I dropped him off that afternoon however also decided to make some calls to find a new locale for them that was heated always. My nice friend and I appreciate our pets really much and want them to be cared for in the best way possible while my friend and I are traveling. I always feel guilty when I leave them and so gleeful when I can see them again.
