I live in a southern part of the country that really doesn’t get very cold during the winter months.
If we do get colder weather it is very mild and doesn’t even require us to wear warm clothing.
I think that I might have one winter coat and that was for a ski trip I took about three years ago and have worn since then. I love the warm weather that we have here almost all year round. I could not imagine if I lived in a place that had very cold weather, I just don’t think that I am built for it. One thing I love about living in the south is that we don’t have to worry about maintenance on our heating system because we don’t even have one. I grew up in this area and we didn’t have a heating system growing up either. I really didn’t think too much about it growing up or think that it was strange, but after making friends with people that live up north I know that it’s not normal. Most people I know have heating systems in their homes just in case. However, I don’t think that is necessary and find it to be a waste of money. As long as I live in this area of the south I don’t think I will ever have a heating system and just go out and buy space heaters if I ever feel the need to have them.
