I learn an article in the local paper about how drive in theaters are starting to make a big comeback, it makes a lot of sense, however it never would have occured to me before I learn it! With all the issues about the virus these afternoons, social distancing being the law of the land, crowding together into a small dark room with a bunch of strangers seems appreciate the worst idea in the world… At a drive in you can watch a movie with a bunch of other folks, while still keeping your distance & having a great time, my only problem was the A/C in my car, which was entirely old & sporadic on a great day! Leaving the car running for two straight hours with the air conditioning on seemed appreciate a tall order for my vehicle, however I still wanted to go.
Luckily for me, that evening the temperature was not too outlandish, so on the ride there I left the A/C off to let it rest.
I aired the car out with some great old fashioned natural ventilation, & then parked in the movie lot which had been marked out so no cars were too close together! For the first hour of the movie I kept the windows rolled up & the A/C set on low, however then every one of us observed some people resting outside. I decided to sit a blanket on the hood of my car & deliver the a break for the rest of the movie. It was such a fantastic evening!
