Call me a nerd, however our favorite tv show is the Walking Dead.
I appreciate the characters on that show, even if the stories are a little bit repetitive at times, but some time ago I remember learning that the show would let fans come out plus be turned into zombies for the show.
They always feature giant herds of zombies, so they need a lot of people who are willing to do that for free. I got our chance, plus found myself in the make up tent, being turned into a zombie, plus our dream was coming true. The small air conditioner system they had in the tent was woefully overmatched by all the body heat. The waning cooling plus rising heat was making it harder for the makeup artists to work, however for makeup to look its best, especially in the context of special effects, you need clean plus dry skin, which means you need climate control to moderate the temps plus humidity. When the AC unit started to falter, they immediately started talking about packing it in for the day. This would not do, this was our one chance to get on the Walking Dead, so I told them I could repair the air conditioner system. Not only did they jump at the chance, they said they would make me a Featured Zombie if I could repair the cooling situation for the day. The Featured Zombie always gets a close up to show off the gruesome makeup, so first I fixed up the air conditioning system unit, plus then they made it looked our guts were all ripped out.
