I looked from a distance.
I was gleeful when I found out my acquaintance was getting underfloor heating installed in 1 room of her house. My great Grandpa used to have underfloor heating. I just enjoyed going to see him as a kid. I will forever attribute underfloor heating to warmth, comfort, & family. Then my acquaintance finished getting the underfloor heating installed & I begged to come over. She seemed a bit confused however said I could visit. That is when I found out that the underfloor heating was installed in her reptile room. I don’t love the reptiles. They are creepy & gross. I have regularly been thankful that my acquaintance keeps her reptiles closed away in another room & that I don’t have to see them. I didn’t realize that she only got underfloor heating so that she could keep the reptiles comfortable. I thought she got the underfloor heating in her dining room or the master washroom. I guess that is why she was confused when I asked to see the underfloor heating. She knew I did not love the reptiles. So there was a bit of miscommunication there. My acquaintance explained how she had her Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor completely shut off the air duct leading into the reptile room. Then she had them install the underfloor heating. Now her reptiles will be hot & comfortable all of the time. She was unquestionably gleeful about it. I looked from a distance. However, I no longer see underfloor heating in such a nice light. Now I guess of reptiles when I guess of underfloor heating. I need some way to change that.
