My mom is sick and tired of the cold northern climate where we live.
She says that she’s lived in the cold for too many years and she is sick and tired of living where she has to constantly worry about her heating system, her back-up heating system, and her back-up back-up heating system.
I can’t say that I blame her. The freezing cold temperatures that we experience around here for months at a time can really be too much for some people to handle. She had some trouble last year with her furnace and she ended up having to pay quite a bit of money to get the heating system repaired. For her, that was basically the last straw. When she got the bill from the HVAC company, she called me up to complain about it. She said that it was absolutely the very last time that she was ever going to pay to get that old furnace fixed. She said that she was sick and tired of the cold temperatures here in the winter and that she was headed south. I told her that I would help her get packed because I was tired of hearing her complain about it. Plus, if she moves to the south, then I will be able to go down and visit her during the winter whenever I get sick of the cold. I think it will be a win-win situation for both of us. Of course, I’m happy for her that she will finally be out of the cold. Moving south is a good plan for her.
