It became definitely clear, definitely fast that I needed our own space if I was going to labor from home.
When the pandemic hit, I had to leave the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of our downtown offices love many, several others across our country. At first, I thought I’d just roll with the situation and labor from home as best I could. However, it quickly became obvious that our supplier had no plans to reopen that zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning office anytime soon. That meant that I’d be working from home in our own a/c for at least a year. Well, 2 years later and I’m still working from home in our own a/c. But that’s been our choice as I ultimately fell in love with working remotely. Once I cleared out a spare room in our lake house for our office, things became much more manageable for me as far as working. I had a space and privacy to get our labor done. While it wasn’t the zone controlled comfort of the office, there were benefits. For 1, I just didn’t realize how several distractions and interruptions there were at the office. I was getting so much more labor done from home and the quality of our labor shot up as well. So when the office reopened and I could again get inside that zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning, I declined and stayed home. That came with some financial rewards as well. I used those incentives to install a ductless heat pump inside our living room which now rivals the zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning of the aged office.
