I thought that I would magically figure things out after dropping out of college and somehow find my way into a successful career.

Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out that way at all.

At first I worked at Home Depot for a number of years loading supplies for contractors who would make their daily pickups at the pro department. After I left that company, I spent a few years doing deliveries for Amazon until I was injured lifting an unexpectedly heavy package off the back of a truck. I was lucky to find a desk job for a few years, but even that wasn’t the right fit. No matter what I was occupied with from day to day, I was really fidgety at a desk and missed working with my hands and what was left of the uninjured parts of my body. This is how I started working for my cousin’s commercial bee removal company. They are local to this area but one of the biggest extermination and bee removal companies in the state. Their trucks will travel to any of the four surrounding counties, and I was an apprentice for a number of years and was sent to jobs all over the place. Bee removal isn’t too bad of a job either as long as you’re taking the right precautions to avoid the stings. You eventually lose the fear that comes with removing wasp and bee hives from basements, attics, garages, and sheds. Now I have my own bee removal company in a different state, doing much of the same work I did with my cousin’s bee removal company.
