Don’t accidentally void your warranty the way that I did last year.
I had no clue that I needed to have my central air conditioning system in my house looked at by a professional HVAC technician once every quarter in order to maintain my warranty.
I’m sure that they went over this little detail with me back when I purchased my central air conditioning system from the local HVAC business, but I probably wasn’t really listening all that closely back then. Whenever I am trying to finish a major purchase, I just like to finish up and get out of there. I guess I just tend to space out whenever the purchase is finished for some reason. Anyway, I didn’t really pay all that close attention whenever the salesperson was going over the HVAC warranty with me and that’s probably the reason I completely forgot about the fact that I needed to have the HVAC system checked out once every three months by a licensed and certified HVAC technician. The fact that I forgot about this didn’t really seem to be all that big a deal at first. I guess that’s because the air conditioning system just kept working the way that it was supposed to for about nine months or so. However, then the A/C went on the blink and I needed to use the warranty. That’s when I found out that I had completely voided the warranty because I had not had the air conditioning system looked at once since the HVAC company installed it for me.
