Next week, they are going to be cleaning the ductwork in our office for probably the first time ever.
- I have worked in this particular building for about 7 years now, and I can’t even tell you the last time that I have seen an HVAC company come in here to do anything.
However, earlier this week, the building manager called all of us together and told us that they are going to be doing some updates to the heating and cooling system in the building. You would not have believed the response that he got. People actually broke into cheers and started clapping when he told us about the heating and cooling company that was going to be coming in to do the work. I guess a lot of people had been concerned about the indoor air quality in the building for some time, and so they were really happy about the fact that something was going to be done about it. I personally had never really noticed an issue with the indoor air quality at all, but I did notice that it’s really hot in the office during the summertime. Several times I have had to take a personal little desktop air conditioning unit with me to work so that I could stay cooled off during the summer. It’s hard to get any work done whenever you’re really hot at work. Anyway, everyone is really happy about the fact that they’re going to be cleaning out the ductwork. Hopefully, they will be replacing the entire HVAC system soon, too.
