It wasn’t fun having to travel every week over the past various months because of work commitments.

I thought that I would appreciate the opening to travel for work when I was a broke school student, however now I wonder what I was wishing for & why I didn’t have more foresight.

Even though the pandemic has improved, it’s still stressful wondering how much exposure I get from potentially sick people around myself and others in tied up airports & in packed airplanes. Many of the people in my life between friends, family, & coworkers have quit worrying about getting sick. But they still end up missing work for a week to various weeks at a time while they must undergo mandatory quarantine if they fail a COVID test for any reason. I can’t help however wonder how much this process affects inflation & the supply-line crisis when you have the meat shortages happening precisely because they can’t keep the factories staffed with enough employees to maintain normal supply output from pre-pandemic conditions. So when I was told I could take a week off from traveling & work from home, I was ecstatic for the break. Best of all, this coincided with our gradual transition from Spring into summer. All of us had a long Spring season this year that allowed myself and others to keep the cooling system off until early June. The weather was just so cold while I was in April, April, & May that there was no need for a/c. Many afternoons I was wearing a light sweater out of the apartment just to stay sizzling amid the unexpected lingering cold snaps.
