I have to say that hurricane Ian almost hit my town pretty badly.

In the end, though we faced strong winds and quite a lot of rain, my area was spared from significant damage.

I personally have some damage to my fence and a whole lot of debris in my yard. I’m quite lucky that my air conditioner’s outside condenser unit was not hit with any debris. A very large and thick branch ended up landing just a couple feet away from it, so that was a close call! I suppose that one day, our area will get hit directly with a big, huge hurricane, but we were largely spared this time. It’s rough news for local communities, but good news for me that there’s actually quite a few job opportunities when it comes to cleaning up after the storm. I have one contractor friend of mine who wants me to help him clear downed tree branches, among other problems around town. I also have a friend who works as an HVAC technician who is willing to bring me on as a temporary worker to help him out with the various HVAC emergencies that have sprung up as a result of Hurricane Ian. I even have yet another job opportunity helping my mom and dad get their house ready for selling. They want to put it up on the market as quickly as possible. I should mention that my father is a very successful owner of a major HVAC corporation.
