We just had a close call with this category four Ian coming pretty close to our hometown.
We didn’t get too much of a hit though except for some strong winds and rain.
My brother’s house did alright and there were just some tree branches down in the yard and a few fence sessions tipped over. It could have been a lot worse and even his air conditioning condenser was spared with this big branch landing inches from it. I’m sure one day we will have a monster hurricane hit our area but so far we have been pretty darn lucky. I’m sure my friend, the local contractor, is going to be swamped for the next few weeks with his tree trimming business. I may help him when I go back to visit in December as he always has some work that needs to be done then. My other bud owns a heating and cooling equipment repair shop and sometimes he has some work for me too so I should be set when I go back with some extra cash. I was doing a lot of work on my dad’s big house they are selling but I think they are listing it this month, which means they won’t be needing my help there anymore. Maybe my HVAC rep mom will give us some money when they sell the two million dollar mansion, who knows. Dad made a ton of money with his HVAC business and left it all to us kids. I hope to open a club here in my town and make it an entertainment venue offering free shows to all.
