I feel bad for all the people who were directly impacted by hurricane Ian.

My city was one of the lucky ones that was only hit with wind and rain that was only strong enough to do moderate damage to our communities. Sure, there was some flooding and there were tree branches down and power outages in many areas. But we were largely spared the worst of the storm. Communities not so far from us were not so lucky, so I’m grateful. As often happens, I have quite a few work opportunities to make some extra cash to help put our community back together, and even some of the surrounding communities. I have a contractor friend who really needs my help with clearing the debris throughout our community and others. Particularly, it’s going to be a tough job getting all the big tree branches out of the roads. I’m more than willing to help. I also have my father’s heating and air conditioning company. I’ve been helping him with all sorts of HVAC-related work ever since I was a teenager, so it’s typical for me to get to work after a hurricane helping him with all the people who desperately need heating and air conditioning repairs and assistance. Yes, the next month or so will be rather lucrative for me! My father has become rather wealthy as a result of his very successful heating and air conditioning company. He has served this city with his HVAC company for over 30 years, and he shows no sign of slowing down.
