I guess I’m in a unique position these days to talk about mental health.

For the past year I have been working on a mental health blog and podcast which has actually taken off.

It’s been shocking to see people from all over the world connecting with my message. Putting the sound of my voice on the airwaves is a bit nerve-wracking, but I get good reception. All of that being said, one of the most common things that we seem to struggle with is social anxiety. I don’t know anybody who feels confident in meeting new humans or engaging in small talk. That’s why I’ve been trying to tell my community members about a new hack that I came up with. Learn about indoor air quality and air temperature management. If that sounds crazy to care about HVAC as a way to treat anxiety, let me explain. Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t know what to say? Instead of commenting on the outdoor climate – the weather – how about you comment on the indoor air temperature and air quality? Everybody has an opinion when it comes to air temperature preference and high-quality indoor air. Nobody on this planet wants to be freezing cold or burning hot inside of a building. You also don’t want to feel like there is dust and dander floating into your respiratory system because of a poor heating and cooling system with dirty air filters. As such, if you can just learn a thing or two about air conditioners, air purification systems, and smart thermostats you will always have a way to make easy conversation. Complain about the indoor air temperature, everybody loves it.
