I’m sure everybody is familiar with the sensation of a vacation coming to a close.

There is nothing quite as depressing as realizing that your relaxation period is almost over. Pretty soon you’re going to be headed back to the same droning experience of daily life. I absolutely hate this depressing sensation and I feel like it has the potential to ruin every vacation I’ve ever been on. Right now, I am trying to keep myself evenly keeled as I prepare to head home and get back to the daily grind of a regular job in a miserable environment. Honestly, I think things would not be so bad if my living situation was more comfortable. Unfortunately, between my loud and dangerous neighborhood, and my loud and disruptive heating, cooling, and air quality control system, I don’t get very much peace. When I moved into my house I knew that the heating, cooling, and ventilation system probably needed to be upgraded. I did not have the extra cash in my budget to worry about a full indoor air quality control system replacement at that time. I could barely afford a window AC unit, let alone a full centralized furnace and cooling system. I decided to do my best living with the subpar indoor air temperature control system and planning my escape to a more comfortable climate. Unfortunately, this means that I live with hot and cold patches, uneven temperatures, and unpredictable air quality. I know that I am headed back to my house full of unpleasant indoor air after several weeks without any air quality management. It is going to be hot, humid, and moldy when I walk through the door. As if the end of a vacation wasn’t difficult enough, knowing that your HVAC system sucks makes it a lot worse.
