I have a big family and we like to travel.
I try to save as much money as I can from each pay check to put aside for our summer family trip.
Some weeks I have trouble putting aside money from a paycheck because they have to go towards bills. I am conscience with the extra amount of money that is left over from each paycheck. Some weeks there’s a lot of money left over and some not so. There was one week where I realized my home wasn’t getting as hot as it normally does. I checked out my furnace and everything looked like it was functioning properly. I was hoping nothing was terribly wrong with it because I didn’t have any extra money for repairs. Just to make sure I called my HVAC provider. When he came to my house he said everything with my furnace looked great except the air filter. He told me to change it more frequently then when I have been changing it. By changing the air filter more frequently this will dramatically increase the efficiency of my furnace. He also recommended that during the colder months, I should use my dryer and oven when cooking. These are supplemental furnace heating sources. By using heat-generating appliances this can benefit my house without raising the thermostat or my bill. I even walked around my house inspecting doors and windows to ensure my home was well insulated. We were making sure there were no drafts making their way in my home. I was pleased to have these alternative resources.
