You don’t have to spend your savings money to get in shape. Let’s stop that myth right now, because it has only become fashionable in the last couple of years. Making real positive change in your life doesn’t require money, or equipment, or even the ability to drive. No matter where you are, you can change your life starting right now. It may take a long time — actually, it will actually take a long time, and a lot of work. But if you want it, you can do it, I know you can, and for myself and others it was a journey of weight loss, physical fitness, and self discovery that led me to where I am now. I myself wanted to go work out in the gym, but I didn’t have a gym membership, nor did I have enough cash to get the card.. For a while, I used that as my excuse. Since I couldn’t afford the gym, I didn’t do anything physical. It was a reason to stay in and eat chips. In reality there is no excuse, so I put down the bag of chips and went for a walk, which isn’t exactly a hard workout but at least it got me active. For me, the key was just that, to keep active, to keep exercising in little ways, to never stop and sit down, to stay moving. I still thought about that gym membership a lot, but it just made me more creative with my workouts. After a month I had lost 5 pounds. I have started riding my bike, kayaking and swimming now too.
