I have consistently been a social scaredy cat, or as our folks care about to tell people a little peculiar.

  • I am in my 40s now, and so I grew different than you probably did.

These days I’m sure I would have been diagnosed with some kind of social anxiety disorder or something, even given some medication for it. Before I was just labeled as different, treated like a weirdo, and left to figure it out on our own, but I still have social anxiety, only now I self medicate with weed, and my problem is that I want to start an exercise program and get myself into shape, although I don’t want to go to the gym to do it. A personal trainer would be a big assistance, I’m sure, although I can’t handle the idea of doing that in a building full of other people. Instead I wanted to start with taking online yoga courses, so I could ease into it before I decided what to do next. I know that yoga would not be enough for what I wanted to do, but enhancing my flexibility would be a wonderful 1st step to take. It turns out there is a whole world of online personal training programs out there, ones you can watch through videos or professionals you can hire to coach you overt Zoom or Skype. That sounds like it could help, although I would have to find the right personal trainer, and make sure it didn’t cost too much cash.
