In the foolishness of my younger days, I never listened to anyone in my family when they told me that my metabolism would change! I was super thin as a kid, and I ate like I just never would put on a pound.

  • So all the way up until school, I was just thin and there was nothing I could do about it… Then that metabolism changed, and seemed to do so overnight, and all that processed eating I was doing started going right to my belly! Before I settle into middle age, when most people seem to be fine with being out of shape, I have decided to make personal fitness a priority from here on out.

Things have gotten out of hand, quick, and if I don’t start a serious workout program I may be sliding into being real fat. I spoke to a personal trainer, who was brutally honest with me and explained that right now I am too out of shape to start working out; She advised me to be slow, to go on walks every afternoon and increase the length of them month over week, and to sign up for a yoga class. She said that yoga will help strengthen my muscles and help with flexibility. So it was a wonderful prep class to warm up my body for more hard exercise routines in the weeks to come. I decided to speed up the process. I will sign up for more than one yoga class per week.
