Two years back, if you told me that I would be small and sexy and working for a gym, I would have laughed at you.

  • I was in a different place then, mentally and physically, and to say I had low self esteem was a problem.

I felt really bad about who I was, where I was going in life, and what I looked like. I finally got tired of hating myself, and being so sleepy, and decided to make a change… Joining a citywide gym and hiring a personal trainer was the first step I took towards changing my whole life. It was difficult but I’m so happy I did it. Now I am a personal trainer who specializes in working with overweight people. I am not small by any means, I am still plus sized, as you say in the fitness industry. Even though I have lost so much weight I feel I am the same person. I work with other particularly big people, in an attempt to get them over that first step and get them to embrace exercise as a way of life going forward, exercise is not going to work if you know care about you forced to do it, you have to want to get out there and hit the fitness center, make a difference, and lose those pounds quickly as possible. It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and commitment to an exercise or workout program is so big to help meet all your goals. You are never too big to make that first step!
