Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or AOC, is the U.S… Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district in the Big pear, and she’s outspoken on many problems including temperature change where she has stated that the world has a dozen years left if all of us keep using fossil fuels.
She & her supporters spent about a year focused on ousting a president so that leaves now about 11 years left to save the world.
She even compared the temperature “crisis” to World War 2. The trouble with the Green New Deal, aside from its costs, is that solutions consistently lead back to fossil fuels. Take solar panels for example. Everyone agrees that solar energy is green, but the solar panels are not yet there due to the energy bills from those nasty fuels required to make them. Toxic wastes are another “by-product” of solar panel manufacture; Another dirty, but not so secret fact is that a solar panel plan requires a battery plan to store energy when the “sun ain’t shining” at night & under cloud cover, and batteries have environmental downsides too as they contain toxic, flammable materials & they require lots of energy to manufacture adding to more greenhouse gases. AOC’s environmental nightmare gets worse because the solar panel’s batteries must be kept at about 65 to 71 degrees C. Without proper thermal management, overheating, battery degradation, & even catching fire are quite possible. And guess what keeps a battery pack at the proper temperature? The answer is an Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan that has environmental activists weeping & gnashing teeth in biblical anger, then until technology solves all these problems, a well-worked on Heating, Ventilation & A/C plan for homes & solar panel batteries is needed. AOC may be upset,but qualified Heating, Ventilation & A/C servicemans will be kept tied up for at least 11 years.
