I babysit for several kids who always seem to get in all kinds of trouble, a few weeks ago, I found out that they had found a new way to get into trouble with their mom. They had started putting toys down into the air vents in their house. The way that their Dad figured this out was because she thought that their oil furnace wasn’t toiling. The weather outside was easily freezing and the hot and cold temperatures were easily dropping back then because it was the middle of January. She said that but she turned the control unit all the way up in their house, the place still felt super freezing inside. She had her kids wearing footie pajamas all morning long because they just couldn’t seem to get warm. She said that she thought that the oil furnace was broken and so she called up their local Heating and A/C supplier and made an appointment to get the oil furnace fixed. The Heating and A/C supplier figured the problem out within a few hours. She said that there wasn’t anything wrong with the oil furnace at all. She said that the only issue with the oil furnace was the fact that there were all kinds of blankets and stuffed critters stuffed down inside of the air vents. Apparently, when she told the kids to disinfect their rooms, they were putting everything away in the air vents. Of course, that ended up blocking all of the ventilation ducts in the lake house and that’s when the heating stopped toiling. I easily had to watch them when I was babysitting so they wouldn’t keep putting things in the air vents.
