My boyfriend Ryan is a big time seafood lover. There is a guy that gets fresh seafood and sells it out of a truck on the corner of my road every thursday. I can easily ride my bike over to him and buy fresh crab legs, scallops, shrimp and clams. The seafood the guy sells is just amazing. Each item is so much bigger, brighter and juicer than what you can get in a grocery store. You can grill or bake the food in the oven but a pan seared seafood dish is the best. If I really want to make Ryan happy, I will get all the seafood items and make like a stir fry. I have one pan that does all the seafood layered in butter and parmesan. Then I sear veggies in olive oil with different seasoning. The two pans then come together as a vegetable seafood dish. My boyfriend eats a huge helping with dinner and is giddy to have it at lunch. The problem with the seafood dish is the smell that it leaves. The smell gets wafted up into our ductwork and then is spread room to room. The HVAC is always on and running and doesn’t help matters either. I have tried using sprays, candles, diffusers, mopping and bleaching the kitchen after I make seafood. No matter what I know the seafood smell will linger in my indoor air quality for at least a week. By the time it is gone, the seafood guy is back and Ryan is begging for more. I really need to invest in an air purification plan if I keep this up.
